This is my first post here, so sorry if I seem a little newbish. XD
Anyways, a class that could easily be done is a summoner class. Basically, this class can have a main focus on summoning beasties that could appear, do something, and then vanish. They could do things like deal damage, effect statuses and stats of both players and enemies, heal, and anything else ya can think of.
In fact, I can do a sort-of theoretical list of summons and stuff a summoner could learn from level 1 to level 60...ish. It goes something like this:
lvl 1 - Imp (10 MP, summons an imp to do decent damage to a single enemy)
lvl 4 - Chocobo (15 MP, does weak non-elemental damage to a row of enemies)
lvl 5 - Meditate (does the usual "heal 15% of MP thing)
lvl 7 - Fairy (25 MP, heals a party member by a small amount of HP)
lvl 9 - Earth Elemental (20 MP, casts slow1 on a single enemy of your choosing)
lvl 12 - Scorpion (25 MP, poisons a single enemy of your choosing)
lvl 15 - Ramuh (45 MP, Casts Lit 2 on a single column of enemies, doing the same damage as if it were on a single enemy)
lvl 19 - Siren (35 MP, Silences an enemy(basically makes them unable to cast spells))
lvl 23 - Vampire (40 MP, drains about 5% amount of HP from an enemy and gives it to you)
lvl 26 - Shiva (55 MP, casts Ice 2 on a group of enemies for the same damage as if it was for a single enemy)
lvl 30 - Carbuncle (40 MP, casts Shield 1 on the entire party)
lvl 34 - Phoenix (65 MP, revives a KOed party member)
lvl 39 - Ifrit (60 MP, casts Fire 2 on a row of enemies for the same damage as if it was for a single enemy)
lvl 43 - Asura (50 MP, heals the entire party for about 15% of their health)
lvl 47 - Cockatrice (45 MP, Paralysis a row of enemies)
lvl 54 - Odin (70 MP, has a 50% chance of killing an enemy instantly)
lvl 60 - Bahamut (85 MP, does major non-elemental damage to a large group of enemies)
It's not perfect, but it's a basic idea on how summons could work for this class.
Anyways, other details: First, basic starting stats.
starting HP: 35
starting MP: 20
starting strength: 6
starting vitality: 7
starting dexterity: 8
starting agility: 7
starting willpower: 11
Now for the stats they would gain per level(possibly).
+7 HP
+6 MP
+1 strength
+2 vitality
+3 dexterity
+3 agility
+3 will
They could also gain either +3 HP or +3 MP from stat points.
As for what they guys could equip, they'd obviously use robes, and maybe leather armour, along with headpieces and rings. Their main choice for weapons would have to be Staves and Blunts.
So yeah, it's a basic idea for a summoner class for the game, but I hope ya liked the idea. Hopefully at least some form of this could make it into the game some day. Until then, can't wait to see what happens next. :3
