I thought it would be a good idea to bring out an update for stat resetting. Being a player for about 3 years, I found that (and not only me) I had a bad stat setup from the start. I think it would be great to be able to pay an NPC (Or a moderator) a roughly large sum of coins for a stat reset. Something like 10k, that doubles upon every use so that it's not abused. I honestly think it would be very useful. If anyone could put this under advisement, it would be great.

Yeah, this would be nice. Another way it could not be abused is to make it a one-time thing, instead of increasing costs per reset. Either way...

It would be nice, but then people wouldn't find the need to create characters if they can just reset their stat

You can edit your own posts, Mer. =p
I can understand why people want this, but possible abuse gives me pause. I don't feel too strongly about it either way, but if nothing else, there will probably be a stat reset when the game is overhauled.

Forcing people to constantly flood the game with new characters is not a good enough argument just for the sake of rebutting this idea. The only Abuse I would see with this would be the fact that people would simply change their builds when they enter a new area, which I don't see why that's such a big deal when the game is constantly becoming a constant battle to over level just to be able to survive in the newest areas.

Personally I worry it might hurt any uniqueness. Like, I feel like any point you use goes toward your character's growth and that's what makes your character your own. It's very hard to actually totally screw a character up, anyway, in my opinion. You'd have to be the biggest newb ever, pretty much.
Also, the idea of being able to just change it on a whim just because the location you're in is different than the one you were in prior just feels silly, which is exactly what would happen. If we had such a system and it did indeed start cheap, then people would just wait until they've reached IC or something to abuse it. They'd use Vit points for their character for SK, DM and Ruoze, then once they get to Hassen they'd swap those points for HP. This would become a common thing, and that's not really good at all.
Instead of offering players a total reset, I think they might should have the ability to undo their last point placement as to avoid any errors. Accidents do happen. One time I was alting and both characters leveled and I got them mixed up...that really annoyed me.

I'd rather have the ability to change icons.

The reason I made this suggestion was for people (Me mainly, though possibly others who did the same thing) that have been here for years, but left for an extended period of time, and came back to find out that their choices in the past were idiotic.

Eh, it sounds nice, but if that's the case, why not have the reset ability have a massive cooldown time? Like...6 months. Maybe call the verb, ''Magical Stat Change Button'' Or perhaps go a step further and only make it accessible to characters who have been in the saves for longer than a year or have had a really, really long period of time between logins.
Nn...Soren may be on to something. I think I'm just running in circles...
Having custom icons sounds fun, but t'would not be sensible to the story, methinks. Though I guess if ''you swear to no one,'' that's a potential loophole, but then the four factions would be at something of a disadvantage if that were implemented...Hm...
Maybe...if there was a NPC in every town that was like...an enthusiastic...traveling...eh...haberdasher?...that you could pay for a preset custom icon, like alternate color palettes or completely new appearances only possible through interaction with him. Or maybe just give an option to import your own? ...Wow. This sounds like a terrible idea. Nevermind. .__.
