To be quite honest, I feel a bit of skepticism towards it too, but there have been a variety of severe problems throughout most of the BH for the past few months.
And to be blunt, a rather severe communication problem. C'mon, Kija, I'm seriously waiting on you here. We have a frickin' subforum and I'm the only one that attempts to use it.

I read the post, but I completely forgot about it later. I forget stuff. I will try to reply when I get the chance.

I'm very, VERY sorry for the necro-post, but this has been bugging me for a while. It's been almost 3 years approximately since this announcement, and it seems like there's been almost zero new info on how 8.0 is comming along. I dunno what happened, but a little info would be nice. Did real life get in way? Did you guys have problems with updating it? You you dudes just plain have a derp moment and forgot? Also, exaclt what IS done? In the approx. 3 years since the announcement, what exactly has been done to get this update finished and out for public enjoyment? Are there still some snags left to deal with? What's given you the most trouble? Basically, what's left to deal with before you have yourselves a finished product to update the game with? I just wanna know what has happened since then, since I really love this game (it's just about the only Byond game I play regularly) and wanna be able to see this get as nice and awesome as possible. :3 (also, who actually still is there staff-wise? I'm worried that these forums are seeming to slow down a LOT in activity lately, but that's just me. :V ) If you want the blunt truth, it's largely due to the fact that updates are deemed like so: The biggest, most pain-in-the-ass things need to be done first and the rest be done later. I always felt that adding smaller content to fill in holes in the meantime would at least let folks know things aren't dying and to give them more to look forward to and experience while the bigger, bulkier things like entirely new areas get attention. Though, I doubt that any of what I'd suggested back then was retained, unless Kija still has logs that old. Told you bastards so, didn't I? Edit: Also. Shane. If you don't see a response from Kija in the sub-forum after two days, you just need to nag his ass off until he does it. That way you only fail to get responses about 50% of the time =P As for looking for responses from anyone else.... I make no promises on how to solve that.
