Speed test for my school computer. Why do school computers have such kickass upload rates...? Because they need it for the transfer between all the computer on the network. This. A grant was passed at my high school during my senior year for major renovations, and during all the construction, one of the workers fucked up and killed our broadband. We had to improvise and run the entire school network off a wireless Internet connection, and it was absolutely ATROCIOUS. It was so bad that it took around 45 minutes just to save a document in any of your super-expensive Adobe programs. It ended up causing the yearbook team to finish up a little over TWO MONTHS LATE, and this whole "LOL WE HIRED A BUNCH OF CONSTRUCTION WORKERS THAT IRONICALLY DROPPED OUT OF THIS SCHOOL SO THEY DON'T KNOW WTF THEY'RE DOING LOLOLOL"-fueled accident happened over halfway through the year. Also, a rant on how badly our school's decision-makers SUCKED: when asked about just...y'know...FIXING THE BROADBAND, the administration told the webmaster and yearbook people no, that it wouldn't be worth it. Also, when asked if they could work over in the elementary or junior high labs, since THEIR broadband wasn't compromised, they were also told no. Pretty stupid... But anyway, yeah, your Internet had damn well better have an amazing upload speed if you're running an entire network of computers off of it.

Though, I really think that irony will be the death of me. My life is just riddled with it. My life is also riddled with angsty teenage drama, but I'm in High School. Can't expect anything else. (Will this damned week end already!??)

Just a reminder, we still need a new host. If anyone has a faster connection now or has not read the thread yet, we have no host at the moment.

I wish I could. But I now use my laptop for school, so it can't be remote accessed at any time. Sorry I can't. =(

Another reminder. We still need a host. Unfortunately, the server cannot exist without one.

Any chance you know the specs of Mahn's old connection? I know you're wanting the best possible connection and all, but...what exactly should we be shooting for to at least have it around the way it was while Mahn was hosting?

A little off topic but, i was in bob's school but i dropped out as a junior. Bob how did that guy manage that?! The main Unit is in that closet in the office (I was in there allot, the office that is). Only way i could think of that happened if the guy missed the plank with a nail gun with some crazy psi going to it. XD. Either that knowing that school he just beat it up with a hammer for shits and giggles.
Lol (I spilled my beer on that thing with lots of wires, where's the towels Mr. Princible?)

Lol, Erb. That really WAS off-topic. Well, like I already told Kija, I can not host 24/7 at all. Though, see the speed test in my signature. And I'm having conversations through e-mail with my ISP, because the speeds you see in my speed test, are only half of what I'm paying for. They should be 120Mbit download and 10Mbit upload. Damn them! >.>

Still looking for a host Kija? (Just in case you still are: I can host 24/7, I don't play WoW or other stupid MMORPGs of that sort, I've hosted before. (If a few REO2, SSBByond, and my own game count. Oh and Pokemon Amethyst, and I seemed to have gotten positive feed back on how scarce the lag is.) I really don't use the computer's for much anymore except play a few offline games.)

Don't forget, his next upgrade not only allows for six, but while he recites the entire encyclopedia flawlessly... backwards!
