Didn't feel like this should be in the adjustification station.
I would find it totally cool and not OP if Red Mages would be granted one tier 3 buff based on their elemental choice, as follows-
Fire is an element often associated with fury and power. As such, the mage choosing fire as his discipline would also gain Boost 3.
Ice is an element often associated with magical protection. As such, the mage choosing ice as his discipline would also gain Barrier 3.
Lightning is an element often associated with speed and dexterity. As such, the mage choosing lit as his discipline would also gain Fast 3.
Whichever tier 3 buff the RM ended up with, he would gain somewhere in the level range of 36 to 40, whatever seems most appropriate.
Comments and criticisms please.

That actually sounds like a pretty good idea. Not much else to say about it. As for criticism...umm...u sux?

Sounds reasonable to me; not sure what the BH will say though. Guess we'll wait and see...

This sure as hell beats the 'Give RMs a Tier 3 buff because they're weak' argument I've seen previously around here.
Sadly, I don't see it happening since Red Mages have always been the 'jack of all trades, master of none' kind of class. Shame, really, since this is a nice balanced way of doing it.

I still think the first sort of improvement they would benefit most from is finally having a melee skill to call their own. The idea itself isn't a bad one, though.
