That was Tarakan. He said he'd be my slave once I hit 60. I hit 60, and he disappeared soon after. (I had nothing to do with it; he was really just gonna be my Boost3 slave. I don't kill my Boost3'ers. I insure them. They hit you, I hit them.)

best team would be...
Myself Myself
SRS EDT
in seriousness, i'd go with...
me (ranger) manboy (bluemage) mettool (redmage) hiroshima (white mage) rand (red mage) takahashi (blackbelt) constantine (whitemage) thorg (ranger)
i absolutely hate those one shot kill types because the time spent getting back all that mp takes ages. that, and i believe knights only have enough mp to do it twice. blackmages tend to be useless in terms of damage output because the main single target spell takes up a good majority of their mp, because they never invest in mp. their real usefulness really only lies in their ability to boost 3, barrier 3, and stop.
i prefer the "most damage for least input" style, and it usually gets me better exp than those titan parties, even with one hit killers. personally i chose this group cause they're all funny as hell. the only people incapable of life is the brown bear, and manboy. hiro will be able to do what he does best or what he seems to enjoy doing because constantine and rand will cover all of the healing.
although we lack many of the "stronger" damage dealers, we have 3 powerful single target damage dealers, 6 that can deal area damage (should be enough to take out most/all things), 6 lifers, 5 buffers (7 if you include ranger non morphed), along with everyone as a tank. i find this setup would allow you to pretty much outlast any boss and any fight you come across.
also, a lot of lists tend to be "BH heavy" because the good portion of the new members were chosen because they were the players that would almost always be on. without having to alt tab, i also chose this group cause i know they input their commands the fastest. i like playing this game fast, i don't like slow =(

that really does seem like a succesful team, too bad Mett/Thorg/manboy/cons are never around anymore... although cons more than the other 3

Atleast I was mentioned in one team WHOO! I can understand why people didn't choose a theif in most of their parties since they can't hold their own in battles till mid 30's. Any of you wh-I'm not even gunna finish that sentence x.x.
Anywho my team: Dye-Knight Dark Dragon(me)-Bluemage Kain-Dragoon Erb-Thief (probally the only power thief) Ant.-Knight (anyone remember him?) Crazy Cloud-Bluemage Hiro.-WM (sure you suck at healing but meh x.x) Jumin's wm-Whitemage (needed a wm so Hiro could kill without worry xD)
I chose Erb's thief instead of mine since he can do alot more damage than me. Dye for his bloodlust. Kain...do I need to say anymore? Ant. since he was one of the first knights to reach ToTE when the new server came up. CC since we were the second team to reach the tombstone when V5 was realeased; plus we were also part of the first Gry. killing team, AND due to our "Illegal Worm Fights." Hiro. since hes basicly a paladian exlect he uses White more than a sword. Jumin's wm since we need an actual wm, since Hiro hates to heal unless he has to.

I'm completely unremembered... not even on the honorable mentions lists.
But yeah I would have said: Sub - BM (I actually only got to party with him once or twice cause he was always alone or a step above me, but he's still kick ass) Rapta - Knight PR - Ranger (duh) Rose - WM (that way I get Dye AND a healer!) Reap - BM Mett - Whatever he is I don't even care (I can't believe I no one has mentioned him) Kain - Dragoon Me! - Blm (otherwise it wouldn't be my party)
But seriously no one even thought of me. And now I'm gonna feel bad for the people I didn't remember lol.

I thought of you, Mett, and Rapta. The ones I listed are, by and large, just ones I've seen more recently or talked to.

Post by Taterz on Aug 23, 2007 4:56:27 GMT -6
only 2 of them were the "original" BH members. it just so happens the "newer" ones got chosen cause they've been around the block for a while. so

I'd have to go with these characters, they are all invincible!
Kain-Dragoon Soren-Blackmage Rand-Redmage Celeste-Whitemage My Blackmage Stryfe-Knight Slick-Dragoon Bubba (haha lol, j/k) Age of Wisdom-Bluemage
Yes, this is mage weighted, but dragoons can do maximum damage, why have any other melee class?
And on a lighter note, I was in 2 lists, yay ;D

dragoons can only work the crush magic 3 times, then spend 12 turns regaining the mp lost. everyone always seems to downplay rangers using hunt, which seems to increase the chance of rolling crits/mortals (my old pure str ranger was hitting near 3.9k on the lucky hits, most of times in the 3300 range)
i mean, who doesnt want a guy that has 2k hp? i shoulda rerolled both into str/vit instead of splitting between str/hp and str/vit. its damn near impossible for me to die now =O

Well I agree with you on that, they do seem to crit/mw a lot more using hunt. But still, I myself never use crush unless I'm killing an evil spirit. You can do more damage with Dragoon Fury, eliminating the mp problem, and doing the same damage normal hit as a ranger's mw of the same level. Still, w/o the help of a blue/black mage, they cant do this, making the ranger superior at fighting with no extra boost.

Hiro, I'm surprised I'm not on your team as the same white mage... twice! (Still waiting on my 100+ lifes you owe me.) Anyways, here's the Mikeman dream team:
Cons: White Mage (He's just good at it.) U.dye: Knight (For all the obvious reasons and some lesser known.) Soreen: Black Mage (If he doesn't know how to play one to perfection by now, there's something wrong in life.) Hiro: Fighter (He can take a hit like no other. Trust me, I know.) Kain: Dragoon (We would be needing that kind of power.) Taterz: Ranger (There's just too many reasons to talk about here.) Nijaku: White Mage (He's good, nuff said.) Kija: Any class he wants (Come on now, he should just be able to play them all to perfection.)
Notice how I'm not on that list? Yeah, that's right, my dream team doesn't even include me...

A much lesser known (and powered) group.
Bastian - Fighter Self - BB Good - Ranger Dark Thief - Thief Sandlight - Knight Tippy - WM Kyou - BlM Firemaster - RM
Bastian cause hes my real life best friend and after all these years we begin to think alike. Good cause he was one of the few people I partied with in tote. Dark Theif cause of the darlow thieves guild. Sandlight cause...well cause. Tippy cause I need a healer and she seemed nice. I am amazed most of you didnt pick her. Firemaster mostly cause i have a love/hate relationship with the RM class and I partied with him so often. He was with me when I got to Tote. Kyou cause he remembers me, and apparently he's bound to have a blue mage somewhere. I really never partied long with a BM (or a good one at that) so I was never really sold on the class. I am probably missing out but oh well.

sand's alt is a BM.. and what about me or soren? how about reap, the self proclaimed genius of BMs ? BMs are freakn slow, and a very few players put points into agil, most going all willpower. If you're lucky, a good BM calls out his spells and areas maximizing the effectiveness, and when properly leveled, will most often wipe out most of the enemies in that area. Communication is a big part of a mages game in FFTHG, and being able to type fast is a good skill that mages also need to employ when fighting chaotics.. especially in ambushes.

True, but iv yet to party with a decent BM for a long time. If I ever do its usually on over powered griding (level 16+ in the cath) or at Mona where they are just out to kill ASAP cause they dont care about medding.

I've never outright said genius of BMs. I've merely remarked that I know how to use them quite effectively. Plus with a lot of the time I've been away previously, I know I've slipped on the skills a bit. xD I'm sure there's a bunch of others out there that can hold their own better than me right now.

No, you'd have a minion dual-wield whips behind them. You are the guy sitting back in a cool, dark room watching everything with a button to blow up and reclone the minion if he doesn't do as you say.
Manual labor, pfft. Don't you have any dreams?
