This is where screenshots from the Val test will be provided. I got an assload. Too bad the DS's Screenshot command crops off the text area. LOVED Val's quips. He talked some trash, let me tell you. That's why the last screenshot is in there. I thought I'd get a few quips and the EXP gain (which seems to be higher than V7 Val). Sadly, I can't remember much of what he said because I was too focused on the battle itself (which is also why I got no shots of the intermission between rounds).

you guys are silly, let me show you how its done...

as you can see here, there is nothing out of the ordinary. aside from the sexiness as an almost pure hp ranger, you can see this is a regular vallatio fight as it currently stands. our levels are a bit high, and the difficulty matches a party of 10s. so this leads me to believe his power has been upped to a paty of 12s.


this is where you're like WAHT TEH FUTXKES!!1! yes. i was the same way young padawan. it seems cut scenes were placed in. the swirling vortexes of doominess are actually cold chills, just in case you forgot this is a vampire.


as you can see, we are basically in a shithole. 2 val-shadows for each player, along with the original. the original does not like to stay put, oh no.


as you can see, the bunghole decides to dance around like a fucking faerie. however, we did manage to discover a trick to figure out where the demon is hiding. however, it has a downfall. the only way to make the strategy work, is with a weak magic caster (me, teh ranger) and a fighter. as much as i'd love to tell you, you can easily figure it out on your own like we did. the power lies in the numbers, folks




we loved it, so we went and gone all whoopass on him a second time. pretty good stuff

Since this topic is about the new Val, I have a question about him... Let's say you got a party of 8. They beat his first form. Someone thinks it's over and they log out. Will the second form have 15 Vals(to suit the new party of 7) or will it still have 17(so the party has to make up for their lost ally)?

The amount of Vallatios would be less, for they calculated only after everything else happens.

I have questions about the val thing.

-What happens if u beat the first battle and get disconnected/log out before the second battle? Do u have to fight the first battle again next time u try val?

-Like when u beat the first battle, will u gain exp for that battle before fighting the second one and will u gain exp for the second battle too or will u just get the total exp at the end

all i can answer is that no, sandlight, exp is given at the end of both fights.

logging out midbattle i think would cause you to be alone during the second fight (shouldnt be too hard, since you are just going to fight 2-3 val's, one real and 2 fakes)

We only got EXP at the end of the second fight. There was none for the first.

Also, I should think it would make the person fight the first form again. From what I gather, the whole thing, both rounds, counts as 1 fight.

Yes, you would have to fight him fully again. It counts as a single battle, and you only get experience at the very end.

Heheheheheh. That's gonna mess with peoples' heads real hard.

Still, least the double battle will be good for one thing... After the first round, everyone gets their 1 MP like from a normal battle. We didn't test this, but I'm thinking it's safe to say that any de-lifed people will be un-de-lifed as well.

something tells me that kaug,gry,geyzer, and mag will be funnier to see how it messes with people's heads xD. but that val thing....just beatuiful
