you see, people who say screw-it to making alts is the reason this has happened, they are too lazy but instead bring their main down and Powerlevel. thank you for proving a point Slick....
yea, when the server come's up i'll remake one of my WM/WM BM/Blm? Knight/Knight alt-combos

Hiro, you should know how hard it is getting things done the hard way, you've been around longer, plus I dont have half the time on my hands that I used to, I gotta job, school, ladies and such, yeah I love the server and all, but I said screw it because I have 3 alts at Dainan, 1 at DM, and another in SS... -=Edit=- All this talk of "remaking" and such, you will have an easier time just getting your thief to lvl 60 and resetting his stats than doing one all over again...

Thank God, looks like this thing's starting to wind down, at least a little bit... Even though I'm not even sure WHY I'm still checking it anymore...

OMG E-DRAMA
Anyway... I agree with this to some extent. It was getting a little ridiculous when people could get to TotE in a couple of days, but I think the current level of restriction is a bit extreme. It seems that now there is actually no incentive whatsoever for players to leave TotE. I used to enjoy going off to help others, simply because I could lend a hand, and chat with people I don't usually talk to (plus it's not like a RM can win the battle in a couple of turns or anything).
So I think that the system is alright... for now. I wouldn't be happy if it stayed the same indefinitely. Something like a reduction in experience/gold when high level chars are with you would be much better in my opinion. I'm hoping something less strict can be put in place by the time V8 is released.
And there's always that argument that things should be fun, not "as they were intended to be".

I'm sure this will all blow over within a month. I remember when Reap and Hiro were nominated into the Bhood and everyone was like "OMFG U PLAY FAVRITES N U ALL SUK"

-=Edit=- All this talk of "remaking" and such, you will have an easier time just getting your thief to lvl 60 and resetting his stats than doing one all over again... do you mean that when i hit lvl 60 i have an option of resetting the points i spent?

umm.. ask U Dye, but i don't think it's been implemented yet? Alright, I'll let that one go, since it doesn't look like one of those retarded jokes... Anyway, no, it hasn't been implemented yet. Although I strongly suggest that, unless you know exactly what your build is(i.e. you're pure something), you sit down and figure out what build you are ahead of time.

I have heard of two different things on this variation. Number 1, there will be a stat reset close to or about level 60. I have heard something of those lines from Kija before, so I am only 70% sure and not a lousy 30%. xD It might happen, but with v8 being slow processed, somewhat, we might wait until during v8 to put this in instead. Just have patience, and wait for it. Number 2, I have heard of an automated levelup point system. By such, you preset your points so that they will go into your specific stats are you want, without having to worry about mistakes. I have also heard of this one, I believe, from Kija. Read paragraph above for my assumption % rates. These two things, I heard way back when this was an idealistic topic, I think back in september. I do not know if they will go in or not, or if they will be in any time soon, if at all. Major changes like these will probably get announced when it is put in.. Which only happens when it's a major change and not our typical, mindless minor wonders.

Preset our points? Lame! I think I'd rather risk a mistake, personally. That way I can decide what to increase after I've gotten kind of an idea what needs increased.

You are one person, most people go by set builds, such as Kyou, Bolt, Rapta, myself, and then theres the pure (insert stat here) builds, but there will most likely be an OPTION if you want to pre-set points, or have your stats changed, or that is how I would hope to have it..., lol placing 120 points back into str, how....fun?

which brings my to my part in this part of the conversation, i've talked with kija about the new system and as well, the point distribution methods, i believe he stated he didn't know HTML and when he learns it we will make it possible to make is so you can, say, put all 120 points into Strength all at once, i know HTML though so if anything, i can give it a go. but like Reap mentioned, this Stat Reset will not be implemented quite yet.

Well, my BB and Thief need some serious twirking, and I am sure Dye wants to be pure str right about now, lol, thanks for the update, and do what you can, when you can

I might have a problem with the preset stat thing too, cuz my combo builds are normally like, 50% on thing 25% another 5% one more, and the rest fill in here, <--- Alters depending on class and need depending on game progress.
Maybe if we have the option of changing it outside of battle at any time.

Well, my BB and Thief need some serious twirking, and I am sure Dye wants to be pure str right about now Uh, no. I DO hate the fact that my Str is low for my level, but I don't want to jack it up a ton if it's going to cost me my staying power, or my ability to land a hit.

You act like Flint and Sandlight die in every ambush we get into...>_>, I dont think they ever die unless they are rubbed

Post by U. Dye on Jan 19, 2006 7:42:34 GMT -6
That's not what I meant. Like Sand and Flint, my Knight doesn't die unless Rubbed, either. Hell, he probably has a harder time dying. That's probably the main reason I'm capable of duo'ing an 8 Dragon ambush without someone that can Bar/Boost3(i.e. my own Blm/BM).
