Critical brings them below 100 hp, then what? They have to spend a round curing with no protection, the next frenzy will likely kill them outright. Well, if the critical is bringing them to 100 HP under Forcefield, that same critical would instantly kill them under Barrier 1. Better that you have a chance of recovering than 'well, better luck next time'. Exactly.. So under some circumstances Barrier 1 would NOT be the best choice for the first move. It doesnt pretect as much as FF does.

The BIG difference between the two is starting with Barrier 1 and living to the third turn can almost certainly guarantee survival from the third Frenzy on the fourth turn because it gives the chance of Forcefield to be stacked on. And under either circumstances the Red Mage will have a pointy pole shoved up its ass HITs + 11 times.

i like how u guys mention Dye when he's not even a str knight.. lol
what happens if RM just does tier 3 spell twice in a row right off the bat? or is it GG for RM if knight does frenzy no matter what?
and wow.. this is like the first legit pvp situation i've ever seen.

I actually mentioned that though U. Dye didn't have anywhere close to a build I was using for my estimations, he is good either way for representation of Knights in general. As for the tier 3 spell thing... I'm pretty sure that without Forcefield or Barrier a normal connecting Frenzy from a more Str-heavy Knight would land somewhere close to 900-1,000. Other than that, two Elemental 3s might not be enough to snuff out the Knight unless the Red Mage is more WP-heavy, which only leaves Frenzy to do more damage to them. Under this circumstance, I'd say they have at best a 10% to survive.

Lawl, those circumstances are the ones that I was going to mention about how bar 1 WOULD be the best choice, but you got at it first. Thats why for this battle, I'd say the best build would either be, will/vit, hp/vit, or hp/will.

The knights going to win. The sheer punch they have in their attacks would wipe that RM out in two turns, tops.

My entire analysis of this battle spanning extremely large posts that constitutes as a 'book' is left unread and people say the exact same thing I have said multiple times and proven with numbers.

People read the first post, ignore fifty thousand other posts, and post their own opinion, assuming it is original when what they are saying has been stated multiple times over and in a deeper explanation how it is right or wrong.
