According to BetaNews, some Internet Explorer 7 testers who loaded the Beta 1 have discovered that their instant messaging software crashes.
Trillian, Gaim and IM2 all spit out error messages when loaded alongside IE7, and the only fix is to uninstall Microsoft's new browser.
The problem ostensibly lies in a DLL file used by the multi-network IM clients to connect to the MSN Messenger service. IE7 includes a new version of wininet.dll which causes the crash if users connect to the AIM network while also connecting to MSN.
"The developers are aware of the issue. There will most likely be no patch for it right now because IE7 is still in BETA testing. If a patch was issued, there is a chance that something else would change that would mess it up again."

I am among one of those few people. I have seen the new Internet Explorer and it is definatly a upgrade from it's older version. I can not use MSN Messenger though upon doing this. I must use Windows Messenger. I must revert back to the old Internet Explorer files. I do not want any posts saying go use firefox or something because frankly, I just want to use Internet Explorer. Just vote, please...
