I like FFTHG. It's a good game, played it about 1.5 years ago, had to leave it for a few months. When I come back, I find my lv 20 Red Mage intact. I say "Well, that's convienant." and loaded him up. Then I get hit with such lag that I have NEVER seen before.
I can't fight in battles because if I do, I literally defend all the time because I'm lagging so much, my menu window won't appear. It takes 2 minutes to move a square on the world map. Yet everyone else has no lag whatsoever. Why only me? My friend, who has a very significantly worse computer than my own(my computer is a small god.), runs this game without any lag. Why am I the only one with lag? I want to play this game again ;_;
Also: I have cable internet.

Maybe your connection just sucks, even though your computer is good. What kind of connection is it, dial-up? Sounds like a dial-up problem to me...
Something else you might try: type in ".configure delay 0", without the quotation marks.

I just tried what you suggested. It's still lagging terribly for me. On BOTH of my computers. Is there anything else I can do to stop the lag?

Well, if you have dial-up, I suggest you not keep it. Also, try turning off the sound on your Dream Seeker. Go to Options, Preferences, and pick the Client tab.

All sound is off. And I told you, I don't have Dial-up. I have cable. I said that in my first post. But for some reason, it's still laggy. No other Byond game is laggy for me, only FFTHG >.>

He has Cable internet, its at the end of the post.
It could be that you've been using up alot of bandwith and your isp is limiting you. Or there could just be alot of traffic in your part of the network. Also do the standard spyware, virus check and such.

He said it in the first post, which was edited after I made my first post. And who the hell looks at the first post when they're not replying to it? I don't. I dunno about y'all, although if you do, you're probably wasting your time. <_<

Don't forget to now and then unplug the modem and/or router once or week or two. It builds up static, which disrupts the signal sent through them.

You might try defragging your computer, while you're at it.

Okay, I have done EVERYTHING you guys suggested. And it's still lagging. It's lagging so terrible, I have to reconnect 4 times in one battle. It's so bad, I can't even log in anymore. So I give up. Thanks anyways guys.

You just contradicted yourself.
How can you disconnect 4 times a battle if you can't login to get one in the first place?

well that was slightly rude Magus, he could have meant that it is so laggy now that there is no point in logging on. come back after a little hwile Dular, see if the problem remains.
