After coming back from one of my long vacations away from FF:THG and checking on how everything has changed/progressed I ran afoul of the new Kaug.
Color me confused, but did you guys have to make Kaug /this/ strong?
I don't know if I'm just unlucky, but every time I have fought Kaug thus far he has butchered me and my team. We can't beat him. Period.
The main issues thus far, however, have related to his ability to instantly ressurect all bridge trolls and even when no trolls are present his ability to RESIST a push from everyone in the party(?!).
Argh argh pain argh pain argh argh DIE KAUG I HATE YOU.
Hugs and kisses, Arlan. ~

It might also just be a case of bad luck. I know that when I was testing Kaug with the rest of the Brotherhood, we'd have fights where Kaug rarely seemed to be pushed back, or he'd resummon Bridge Trolls the second that we killed off the last one. We'd also have fights where it seemed like he never resisted a push, he rarely summoned reinforcements and if there were still Trolls on the field, they never got behind him to prevent further pushes.

This brings up a very interesting philosophical question... does Kaug actually call his guards, or do they just kinda show up? (Keeping in mind the fact that Kaug is just completely fucked up in the head, and it's questionable whether or not he ever experiences conscious thought.)

i'd say they rush to his aid if anything
And in case ya'll we were wondering, we usually do boss fights at appropriate levels, not 322 and such ;D so yes we know how tough it can be...

Last time I read some information on him, it said something along the lines of him thinking himself to be all powerful within the terms of DM, and impossible to kill. Thus, he would rather fight alone, and is always pushing his guards away to get right at the prey. Yes folks, that's his only coherent thought. xD But the guards do try and fight with him, and make sure he doesn't get dinged up too badly, if something were to go wrong. It actually fits quite well with how the battle system works for him now.
Oh, and they do rush to his aid. His only coherent thought is killing what moves. The guards, however, are a bit more reasonable.

5. No unnecessary thread necromancy. By this we mean don't revive old threads unless you intend to post worthwhile and relevant content. An old thread is a thread that hasn't been posted on in more than a week or so. Seriously, threads die for a reason. In compilence to this, don't create several topics of the same discussions or ideas.
Thread and poll locked to prevent further necromancy.
