Kija said no changes were planned for Knights. As for other melee types... Remains to be seen.

For the majority of classes (i.e., everyone aside from Black Belt), increasing max hits wouldn't have much of a point. The most hits that a weapon supports is ten (daggers). Other weapons have different caps, so eventually your max natural hits would exceed the number of hits that your best weapons support. With some weapon types you'll meet their hit cap before you're even halfway through the game (axes, polearms).

Yea, I was thinking of maybe having more Max hits then Hits allowed could have some effect on your accuracy or the chance of you doing max hits .... but meh go BB's!!!

Make items to increase the hits on your weapon, put it in place of a war bracer or something, less defense for mor offense

Make items to increase the hits on your weapon, put it in place of a war bracer or something, less defense for mor offense You stole my freakin' idea-! *kills Slick real hard* Although the original idea(I told Kain about it; he might remember) was to replace the bracer with a ring or something that would increase your damage by like 10% or something. He said 10% is kind of small, though; 20% is probly more worth it.

Bracers give such a small porportion of defense.. How about replacing body armor, IF this idea is considered?

Or, you know, the fact that the boosts give additional hits should be sufficient enough.

Boosts, jeez, I just want to have 10 hits when I solo, is that all I ask, and i would trade in my full plate of armor for an extra 4 hits, any day. Btw Dye, sorry about taking your idea...

Or, you know, the fact that the boosts give additional hits should be sufficient enough. "Should be" doesn't always mean that what's being said is true. I'm assuming you mean the Boost spells. (The lack of caps is a little... yeah. You get the drift. Having to go by context here.) Yes, we've established that the Boost spells kick major ass. Except Boost2. The only thing it's good for is nullifying/protecting against Weak. And wasting a round. Here's the kicker with the Boost spells: you gotta have someone with you who has them, like a mage! Now, granted, mages are pretty common, and Fighters have Leadership(which costs an assload of their MP), but you generally have to ask the mage before they Boost anything(except their own alts). Even then, they may be one of those "Screw you hippie, I'm Nuking!" mages. The point of all this is, you say Boost SHOULD be sufficient, but unless you're specifically talking about Boost3, it's not. Boost3 is good, but when only 2 classes get it, and they both have uber spells that they'd rather kill everything with... You get the picture.

so learn to re-strategize, just as simple.

I think his complaint is more along people who would REFUSE to use boost. Trying to change the strategy won't help if someone won't go along with it.
Then again, I kinda see why nobody would want to boost, in PoP anyway. Everything is "LOLOLOL DIVIDE DIVIDE!" and by that time, there aren't really many large monsters left to do direct damage. The mages may as well cast regular attack spells at the monsters that aren't getting divided. The few times I trained in a group by PoP, Boost3 was nothing more than a gimmick of "Let's see how much damage a boosted Retort against a Locked target will do!" which is pretty fun, but isn't doing anything for the fight.

yes, but guess what, the current PoP monsters are...well....inadequite compared to PoP2 monsters, boost WILL be needed, AND what if theres no knight in your party to divide the shit out of every big monster

There's probably going to be bigger things to worry about than however many Large monsters there are in Pop2... like the hordes of Small ones every single fight. *thinks of the Strikers and Middle Demons that accompany Titans*
