Hey everyone, I got a quick question that I need help with.
I bought a nintendo wifi usb connector (It let's you connect your ds to your computer to play online). However when I use the install disc, it'll come up with this error that says plz connecter the nintendo wifi usb connector to your computer. I traced this down by myself and made a post on the nintendo forums, but those people are beat for knowledge around there, and they people who do have knowledge haven't replied back to what I said. Anyways, here's what I conjured up. My computer automatically assigns the usb connector as a modem before it should and this prevents the install program from detecting the usb connector. So i wanted to know if there was anything that I could do to prevent my computer from auto-assuming it knows everything and setting it as a modem before it even installs.
P.s
Coming back in january kiddies. Who wants to powerlevel me? lol j/king

It is pronounced "mon" and I can't help you. I don't see why it would give you an install disk as Windows auto-detects any usb connectors and auto-installs them. I also look forward to more Cokebottle incidents.

that's the problem though, because it's auto assigning the usb connector to a modem before it's supposed to. It'll end up there eventually, but if it's configured to a modem, the disc won't install what's needed because it can't detect it and it won't broadcast any signal to the ds because of this. It's supposed to stay classified as a usb connector until the installation is over so everything can install, but my windows is auto configuring it to a modem. What I'm asking for though is if there's a way for my computer to not to configure it as a modem before the installation is over.
<<Edit>>
Re-read your post. Yeah, but I'm guessing why some people have this problem over on the nintendo forums like me and some don't is that the computer will either auto assign it one way or the other when it's plugged in. Most of them will leave it as a unknown I think (Which works) and the people who can't get it to work will have windows configure it as a modem before it's even done installing.
