Would it be cool if the *some* sand moved? I'm talking about sandstorms that pass along your way when your traveling through the desert. Kinda makes it more realistic.
Another idea would be seeing cloud's shadows passing over the world. Again for more realism.
Give me feedback on what you all think.

I've already suggested both of these things early on when I first got my robes. Good to hear others like it too, though.

These graphics are 'specially easier with 4.0's alpha options for icons. I played around with 'em for quite a bit about a month ago, it's really neat. Great for different shading/lighting overlays and any transparent overlays you'd want to do.
But that would necessitate the move to 4.0. =p you can get the same effect with a 'checkerboard' icon to get a transparency effect in 3.5, but you can't adjust it as much, in regards to transparency level or brightness/darkness. ;d
Not sure how much it would lag, either. Sometimes lots of graphics just naturally lag though >.<
