I really wish people would consider actually reporting the bug, rather than just post on the forums "Look here at this bug!". And then all I ever get to see about the bug is just a picture because few people even bother to report it. They just take funny pictures for the forums and I suppose assume that it is enough for us to know about it.
I guess it is suppose to be funny, but it does little good in actually solving the problem. I have seen this a lot now. People will make a post about some bug, laughing about it, making a picture, and then that is it. Where is the report? Where are the details? Are you aware of just how annoying it is when people make these sort of posts and then do nothing else. "Hey, here is a problem, laugh at it, bye now."
I am glad that people are not posting how to do some things on the forums, but it would be nice if they did not decide to keep that information private from the Brotherhood as well. There is a bug reports email, private messaging on the forums, MSN, and so on. And if you actually did report it to a member, then I am going to have to get on them for not saying anything. Although, it is usually best to use the email, as it allows it to be logged in an easily accessible place for all of us to go to.

At this point, you think it might help a little to include that in the log in message? Not sure if it would do much good or help, but if it happens a lot, it might be worth the trouble of coding in.

I've seen this before, based around assist. I believe what happens is that, code-wise, when someone logs out of a battle via disconnection, the party is reordered to no longer include the person that has logged out, but not in an aesthetic sense. This will leave a gap in the battle but not the party stats and etc. if the person that logged out wasn't at the rear of the party. Now, when someone assists when someone has logged out of a battle that wasn't in the rear, the game will think, because of the party stats being reordered, that the assisting player will take a new spot in the bottom of the party, but because the actual battle wasn't rearranged, the new spot at the bottom is currently occupied visually.
The transfer of buffs - probably not as a literal transfer but just visually - seems to occur every once in a while, such as a White Mage CP having someone Boost 3'd, but not really.
As far as I know, both of these problems have been reported in the past.

Actually, even visually, the party is suppose to resize on the battle map if someone logs out. There might be some glitches that prevent that from happening correctly every time though, and assist is pretty buggy and is usually the reason for a lot of position and input bugs.

Normally when someone logs out of a battle it leaves a gap for the end of the battle doesnt it? Or now theres a bug there. Oh gawd another bug. Where's the exterminator?
