Whats going on investigators!? If you know V8 Grygasz and if you are a soloer, you can relate that mages have it easier, at least to kill him. But this time its a Knight, and hes even level 50 and still cant kill him!!! Is it the constant criticals he can give, the eats he does devouring the person, the stacks of actions he can do in once move, his massiveness of 8500 hp, his trembling roars, or can it all be a H4X? So why stand there, you havent been able to do it, trained so hard that you are able to solo(not meant to all),so do you believe in Wisdom? Test servers have been done and a lvl 55 couldnt beat him, so why would a level 50 succeed? Tests have shown a level 63 can beat him, but will this let Wisdom down, the people not believeing in him, or will faith kick in and show that anything is possible, especially if you believe? VOTE NOW!

Kija's level 55 Knight couldn't beat Grygasz solo but my level 63 Knight with U Dye's build did beat Grygasz. Get to at least level 60 and try again...maybe.

It is possible, but at lower levels, it is not something that would be easily repeatable, since eat is not easy to get out of. At level 55, I had lost, but I did get pretty close. I had done a lot of damage. If someone with a decent level, such as level 55, did it enough times, it is possible that they could defeat eat well enough to kill Grygasz. Having a good build does help though. With Grygasz, getting hit is even more dangerous because of eat. Without a lot of evasion, you are going to lose.

a ranger has a far better chance, hell even a thief would. i wouldn't be surprised if a full agility thief beat the crap out of grygasz around level 40

just gimme a 40 thief with pure agility and throw me on the test server and i'll do it! although, i'm afraid of the evasion floor and how that would lead to an untimely death

O.o..................
The whole point of it is the experience but i dont blame you, it only takes specific people to commit to these circumstances. Dedication and training in a normal server is the deal that makes it worth, cause anything can be done in a test server, but hey if one isnt willing to do that, you can do the testing, i also thing a ranger would be good, and a thief as well from different points. Its Super training ftw, but thank you for voting! ;D

grygasz is based purely on luck. once he eats you, you're pretty much done because any damage you do to him is quickly negated by digesting you, and then he'll eat his deino buddy. i tried the evasion thief with mahn on the test server, i couldn't do it til 60 because he kept either eating me, his buddy, or paralyzed me and proceeded to destroy 20% of my life cause he got to hit 2 times...
it's not gonna happen in the 40s, since thats when most parties team up to take him on for an easy win. when you're in the 30s is when he's a slight challenge. you'd have to be high 50s to even stand a chance, let alone do enough damage to overcome his eating habits

Solemn took him on Solo, sow hy not ask him for whatever his build was or for his advice? Like Kija said I'd try to invest some points in agility, only because if you don't have alot of evasion then eat will get you. In the end the paralyzing roars will be the only thing you hate.
That is, if you had selected a soloing build.

Yo! rofl, yea i was there when Solemn took on Gry. Took him many tried but he got that 1 lucky shot, so its all good, all for the "cause", yes killing Gry is exceptionally satisfying, especially when you helped train many of the people that have gone further than SS now, so its good. The fact that he did it solo makes it more satisfying, especially after he used that macro hahah, yea ask him about it. Im still looking for my lucky shot, and i got Kijas faith behind me, as well as my own, so things should smooth out, well time to keep trying =P

I, Wisdom, of great potential, honor, integrity, and power have the ability to address everyone whose votes were taken into account for this test. Many people as seen above voted against the power of a Knight to be able to solo Grygasz, and the results are in, were you right, or were you actually wrong because you didn’t believe in Wisdom? One can view the situation so extreme since it took great effort to train in Ruoze, however things can be settled since the truth has been revealed by fellow investigators and not being able to resist. Why go quiet is the question when you have been bestowed with the great force that shows you were able to beat Grygasz? Heh, as you may know, my time at Ruoze has been long, and I don’t like to be there hahhha, so in efforts to do the best for me, well I stayed and helped out more people, including my upcoming chars(Congratz to those that were able to gain from this, including myself). It is a painstaking thing on my part to leave the great land that I dwelled in for so much, but now its time to move on as the scriptures said, and as the faith of the people invigorated AncientWisdom to finally be able to bring things to an end. Ok ok, everyone is like, “get on with it”, well just as the words may seem to dwindle and twist, but AncientWisdom was able to finally beat Grygasz, an effort that made me really happy and I actually took a vacation because of it, rofl, ok so maybe I took things too extreme, but hey I think I deserve it. It was truly an overwhelming experience to know that what you want can be accomplished through many tries and hard effort, so I am pleased to know and have done what I was thinking of ever since I started these characters. You might ask, why am I being so emotional in my writing, but meh, might be cause I really wanted to actually get through Grygasz, and knowing that less % of the population that voted believed in me makes it exceptionally intriguing and fascinating. I therefore like to thank and just say thank you for those that believed in my power, my “uberness”, my will, and faith. Many might not take such things into consideration especially when dealing with a game, but hey, I believe it can be done, and if it can apply to me, I’m sure it can to many. The experience of conquering something that was doubted and seen as impossible can now be seen as a light of hope, where you can’t go based off the things you see, hear, etc, but on other things that are true. The experience is attainable, and it comes to me giving advice to many that play THG and want to be soloers. Me, as I consider myself an experienced player am able to suggest that for any1 trying to be tough and go through what is the everlasting essence of GREAT training, just relax and enjoy yourself, cause that’s how you can maintain focus and the inner will to try and go through things. Also, f you didn’t know, mages will have an easier time getting through and soloing bosses, however it can be seen where maybe as V8 gets in, things for the melee classes might get switched to a method that id like to call, “NO HAXES”! hahah I’m sure you all know what I mean, but overall, if you wish to pursue this great path, I hope you have the patience of Wisdom, and wish you good luck and hope everything goes as well as it did to me. So I like to stay positive and look on the bright things so ill try to make you envision what I went through: The best battle you can think of, and one thing that made it unique, I wasn’t wearing the Anaran helmet hahahahah~!!!! Maybe this allowed my knight to be more evasive and have more luck. So basically I took 2 methods combined from constantly analyzing each battle that I took and failed miserably, well the Retort and fight method switcharoo. With this I was able to hit the lil fella so Grygasz wouldn’t eat him, as well as get hit by Gry to get damage taken off of him. Best thing about this fight that made it the best is that it granted me what I wanted and was looking forward, 2 criticalss which came in a double strike, as well as 2 mortals, 1 from retort, as well as one from frenzy. Yea, his hp was low enough for me to just take that chance, but you might wonder, why didn’t he get eaten like I wanted!? =P hahah well basically he missed, my evasion was good enough to dodge many attacks, but receive many weak or normal hits. But there was the best luck in this battle, why? He did 3 paralyses, 2 of which worked, and failed to eat 4 out of 5 tries, too extreme. As always , you have to hope and expect a great outcome, and that could only come from, as I said, faith. The best battle ever indeed, and it was unforgettable. The goal I was reaching for was accomplished and that means more than anything to me, but now maybe you might see me around IC and Mona hahha so I hope to see many there. I don’t like to look at the negatives, but time to look at things to regard the things I didn’t like about the facts that some classes have to be too much overleveled just to kill the boss, when another class can, but let’s get right to the point. You people that don’t have that Wisdom patience, I really do just suggest u ask an admin to let you see a test sever or something, though it is just to fool your brain in knowing you can do it, yet you really didn’t, but overall, id like to discuss the reasons that I remember from which the experience was not as thrilling as some may think it was since I was overleveled. So basically, the training was easy, don’t get me wrong which was a good thing to train to a superior level, however, the time I had to put in it was a lil bit, and the outcome you get from beating Grygasz wasn’t worth it as a soloer especially if you have to um, get overleved. So basically id like to take the time to give shout outs to many people haha, basically all the people that voted in the 1st 4 vote polls, the people who voted in the others auto fail as you can see, since they were disproved, however, it teaches that you shouldn’t doubt the possible and/or Wisdom. I am glad I had support from many people, which allow me to realize that some of you are really cool and am glad I can count on you all, and yes I would love to name you all, but I really don’t want to miss any1, especially with so many people having an alt, however, most of the people that went through SS to beat Gry from my training have my most respect since you participated in what I like to call “Anti-Grygars” hahah, basically a plan to exterminate that dinosaur and make him fall since he deserves it and since I was able to generate much exp from your presence! I also like to thank those people that took me into consideration and what I appreciate and see as love, yes, coming back from Mona, where you would train better, and just train with me, even though sometimes it was faster here haha. So basically this is a must put in, since I was touched ;P haha, so here goes, enjoy:
<AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: Kija, i need you to like try to say "I believe in you <3" <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: mayeb that will boost my moral <Reap (Wsay)>: That'd be damn funny, coming from Kija <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: You can use tell if you want kija <Hersil (Wsay)>: AncientWisom, I believe in you. But only to the extent that it does not interfere with my desire of seeing Grygasz digest the chewed remains of his food, which is most enjoyed as being the humans who attack him. <Hersil (Wsay)>: AncientWisdom* <Reap (Wsay)>: Rofl! <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: you forgot a heart =o <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: <3 <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: =o <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: pl0x? <Hersil (Wsay)>: I cannot bring myself to use symbols, unless quoting someone. <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: then quote it o.o <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: ^_^ <Hersil (Wsay)>: Well, more like emotion symbols. I still use stuff + and %. <Reap (Wsay)>: Emoticons, I believe they are called. <Hersil (Wsay)>: <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: Kija, i need you to like try to say "I believe in you <3" <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: Why cant you use emotion symbols? <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: rofl 0.o <Hersil (Wsay)>: I am not sure I could really explain it well. <Soren (Wsay)>: Because it does not compute. <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: oh but it does <Reap (Wsay)>: That sums it up nicely, I think. <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: you gotta try Kija, you will feel relived and freed! <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: relieved* <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: Well that support speech you gave was good, so thank you Kija <Hersil (Wsay)>: You are welcome. You have my full support. <AncientWisdom (Wsay)>: AWWWW ^_^!!!!
(Taken strictly from THG, with no edits, thank you)
Kija, you know I love you like a friend, I hope you feel the same respect towards me, but you did give me full support in a quote that I did not keep in records, but keep in my heart, and you definitely believed in my ability to win. Basically the whole situation is touching but I’m glad I was able to go through the things that I wanted, and now just look towards the future of Final Fantasy: The Hunting Grounds. As always, stay true to your heart and beliefs, and even though things might seem impossible, faith can do it all, even to you many non believes =p Time has revealed itself into what many consider fate, coincidence, or luck, as always, much love to you all, take care Yours Truly, [shadow=red,left,300]True Infinite Wisdom [/shadow] Aka: AncientWisdom lvl 50,soloer of Grygasz, the 3rd boss of THG
PS: colors just look good, no real meaning, but yea =D THREAD CLOSED/POLL CLOSED
