When was the first time you picked up the controller, and what were your first few games?
Me: I first started playing video games at the age of 4 and my first game was Super Mario Bros. The next game was Super Mario World, then Street Fighter II, and Mortal Kombat.

Whoo for Mario and Mortal Kombat. My first system was a SNES (I think I played my sister's NES once for SMB, but I always played the SNES.)

In the span of one year or so, in this very following order... Atari 2600 - Seaquest, q-bert, pacman, porky's, galaga, break out, missile command, space invaders, y's, burger time nes - world soccer, volleyball, mario, ninja gaiden, blaster master, guardian legend, mario brothers 2, final fantasy, megaman 2, megaman 6, megaman 4, star tropics, faxanadu, contra, castlevania 2, wrecking crew, rad gravity, and then zelda 1 and 2. Details get a little fuzzy after that.
Yeah... You know on the fast and the furious, that one car genious with ADD, says cars calm him down enough to be damn smart in it? Same thing with video games here, but without the ADD part or jumpiness, etc etc. >.> You did say few, not one, so thought I'd list out what I remember. xD

Lol at Mil '39'.
Oh yes, if you're wondering about the topic thing, I originally was going to call it First Times, but people would think of it as a thread to post their sexcapades or something, so yeah.

Well I don't remember quite how old I was but I know my first game I played was Super Mario Bros. for the NES. I don't know if this counts but I was just starting to walk and would play with the controller upside down and still own my older brother at it who is 4 1/2 years older than me. But yerp thats my first game I played and the first system I actually owned myself was an SNES we bought from my uncle with Super Mario World.

I think I was about 4 or 5. Not sure. Me and my mom would always play centipede on Regular Nintendo. Man... that game was pretty damn cool at the time. And then I played asteroids. That was my favorite game for quite a few years.

Erm... I guess technically my first video game would be Wheel of Fortune, played on a Tandy 1000.
First console video game and thus first time picking up a controller would be Missile Command for Atari.
Subsequent games were Othello, SMB, Dragon Warrior, and, of course, Final Fantasy, all NES. Othello was cool for being the first game I could consistently interest my siblings/parents/grandparents in, even if it was just a port of an ordinary board game.
I don't really remember my ages at the time, though.

Hell yes, long live SNES. My favorite console of all time. Still have it, old as I am.
(starts a SNES Army and chooses 'Real American' as his theme song for his army, and begins parading about.)
