Yeah. It's a story. Deal with it by posting a comment.

Once again, she wanders the icy caverns, searching for any investigators in need of help. Surrounded by crystal ice, whose beauty the darkness of the caves has hidden, along with the wild, white beasts, she listens for lost souls in her frozen domain. Suddenly, a scream echoes through the maze. A dark green substance falls upon the worm; a second shot of the liquid brings down the beast.
“Are you okay?” the maiden asks, running towards the knight.
“I'm... fine,” he manages to call out, falling to one knee, supporting himself with his elbow, the other stabilizing himself on the sword, blood soaking his black robes. “Just a... small scratch. Heh.”
When she reaches him, out of instinct, her hands float over his wounds, blue and green sparks encircling his body. The knight, with his robes free of blood and body healed, stands, using his sword to help himself up, and looks upon a woman with blue hair and in a questionable blue dress. “Thanks. Aren't you cold?”
“You're welcome, and not really,” she laughs, her face filled with delight. “I don't see people walking through here often, nonetheless a lone knight.” During her time wandering through the caves, she had seen many parties pass through to the Monastery, most with a mage possessing curative magic, such as herself.
“I have potions on me.” he calls back to her, turning away with arms crossed. “Anyway, I would've beaten that Gigas Worm with another Slash.”
She leans over, hands clasping behind her back, and giggles a little at his remark. “Oh, I am Luñaqua, but Luna works as well. I haven't seen you around here.”
The knight turns to face her as his anger dissipates. “The name's Stryfe.”
“Of the Brotherhood?” she asks with awe and bows gracefully. “I am honored.”
With confusion and a small laugh, he picks up his sword with hands sporting red gloves and places it in the scabbard. “There's no reason to bow. I'm not Nexus.” With that, he picks up a torch and begins navigate through the caves again with Luna traveling alongside him.
While they walk over one of the bridges to their destination, Luna asks, “Why are you in the Ice Caves?”
“Traveling to the Monastery and then to the Tower of the Enlightened,” he answers, unsure why she would ask that question going in the same direction, as she sighs lightly.
“So was I.” Stryfe's eyebrow raises under his black hood.
“Was?” A pause passes over them as he waits for a response. “So, what's your story?”
With no uneasiness toward the question, she tells her tale. “I made it to the Monastery a long time ago in a party. But I decided to stay at the Monastery with the few followers of Nexus staying there, and the party I came with decided to continue on. So I tried to catch up with them, but— Stryfe!”
A wyrm manages to sneak behind then and casts ice upon Stryfe's feet, enabling him from moving. Luna raises her arms to cast and sparkles encircle Stryfe once again, but instead of curing, he feels immense strength flowing through him as he hacks through the ice on his feet. The ice crumbles, and the wyrm casts another on him, the boulders of ice knocking him down. Sword in hand, he raises up at the charging wyrm, wings spread in intimidation.
“Die!” he cries out using Frenzy on the wyrm, which falls over, crimson blood flowing over its albino body. Stryfe turns around to see Luna trying to hold off three other wyrms, shots of dark green pouring out from her hands onto the white reptiles and ice to create a barrier between them.
“Stryfe, we need to run!” Luna calls out. Grabbing her battle staff, she flees in her heels, Stryfe bolting behind her.
“How did you catch up to your party with ice?” Stryfe says as he paces her, but slows down at the sight of a body frozen to the wall.
“I didn't.” Although she replies, Stryfe continues to stare at body leaning against the wall, her arms in a position of holding an orb to her chest and head tilting down.
As Stryfe turns to her, ice crackling towards him, he calls out, “Is that—.” Another wyrm slams him to the wall, next to her body, claws digging into his chest. Trying to survive, he swings his arm into the beast's face, stunning it, but it turns to him, a thirst for blood in its eyes, and lunges for his neck. A sharp pain washes over his mind as the caverns darken.
“Stryfe! N—”
Suddenly, he opens his eyes, awakening in a comfortable bed at the Hassen inn. He looks at himself, noting no wounds, then looks around for his friend, and a flashback to the woman frozen in the wall, who oddly wore the same clothing as Luna. “I didn't,” echoes through his head, trying to figure out where the maiden was. Then it hits him.
The woman, trapped in the ice, was alive.
