Story 1
Nijaku The Monastery Gathering
A small Blackmage with a silver cane walked up, his robes dragged along the ground and the sound of cloth against the hard surface of the floor make his footsteps inaudible. He made his way along the aisle within the brilliant monastery built by the Nexus monks so many years ago, and as he rounded the table in front of the alter with the symbol of Nexus mounted in the middle, he gave a slight nod to Brother Vanitosa as he leans his cane onto the table. He glances up and sees a few familiar robes sitting within the pews. All of which resembled the same design but differed in color, a shroud of which covered the body and left the face a mystery and a small tail of cloth that dangled down the back of the hood. The Blackmage opened up his hands and placed them against the table and his red glowing eyes scanned across the room noticing two more figures enter the monastery, these figures where quite large fighters, their size a tribute to their beefy builds and ability to withstand even the most vicious attacks that the dragons can dish, these two took their places respectively around the purple robed figure who also took the role of a fighter, despite his attire. A few moments later a Ranger and a Knight came from the beds on the right, a Blackmage came running in from the doorway and laugh hysterically at the ranger and knight duo. A third Blackmage entered, however this one seemed a bit different as around him he seemed to give off an aura, He looked down towards the still laughing Black mage and spoke, “Come now Doc, take a seat and listen to the Tale Not has to tell.” His voice came off with a cool undertone that came with his experience within the depths of Darlow’s inner core. The smaller Blackmage's laughter stopped as he looked towards the other, he muttered insults as took his seat opposite to the pew of fighters. A robed figure stood up, this one wearing blood Red robes, and approached the newest Blackmage to join the crowd. “Welcome Soren! Its not often I get to see one of the Enlightened make an appearance within these Monastery walls.” The man from within the Red robes said happily. Soren nodded and spoke as well “Ah, its an easy trip anyways, Kain is still in the depths of the pits fighting Titan’s, Thornreaper volunteered to go and get him, they should be here shortly. One more figure entered this was one everyone knew but the ranger spoke up first. “Mil! Meh Babeh!” The ranger screamed out, causing the others to shudder and grimace. Milenko sighed “Flya clam down” He plainly said as he took a seat next to him on the bench. After a bit of waiting a yellow robe emerged from the doorway follower by another garbed in blue with a hat and feather. Not then nodded and waited for the two to take their seats amongst the pews. “Ah, all here it seems, Now where shall I begin?”

Not thought for a moment and then found the proper place and time to start. "Lets see here, around 10 years after traveling to Dainara and obtained the magical key to get into the base of Val's Cathedral." Not described as he went into further detail....
A Ballistic Tiger lunged for the small blackbelt as he braced himself for the attack, the claws of the best coming down on him heavily and cutting into his unprotected arms. He winced and then unleashed a blow to the underbelly of the best sending it backwards. Letting out a roar the best pivoted and spun about violently in the air and landed on its feet and began to charge once again towards the blackbelt. This time he was more prepared for the strike and he gracefully sidestepped it and swung at it again, however the beast was no so easily countered and it managed to dodge the blow as well. Angered the blackbelt charged blindly at the tiger and took a heavy blow to the chest which knocked him backwards, recovering he quickly unloaded a barrage of fists pummeling the Tiger into a furry heap of flesh and broken bones on the ground. It whimpered a few times in its final cries and then died soon after.
"Nijaku!"A voice called out behind the blackbelt, He looked over to see a Knight followed by a Bluemage and a white and Blackmage.
He looked towards the Knight and nodded, "Sinray, nice of you to join me, I see you brought Sihara and some others." Nijaku said as they approached. Sinray nodded and explained his plan to storm the cathedral. The plain spurred Nijaku to move from out of the forests along with Sinray and his ragtag team.
It took another fortnight to make the trip to the base of the Large Cathedral, and as we approached we could feel the ominous presence of its undead lord. Sinray made his way through the doorway and quickly the rest of the group followed him and immediately found themselves in a battle. A few slimy creatures moved towards Sinray and the blackmage. "Slurpers!" Bellowed the Knight as he branded his sword in preparation for the battle. As soon as Nijaku enter the room he was quickly clubbed from behind by a large green creature, writhing about in the sudden shock of pain he turned about on the ground to see standing before him a massive troll, wielding a large club, splattered with the blackbelts freshly drawn blood. The area around the blackbelt grew fuzzy as he worked himself to his feet and stood before the troll, raising his fists in a fleeting attempt to fight back. But before anything could be done a small imp came running up and pounced upon him knocking him to the ground knocking him unconscious.
A few moments later Nijaku opened his eyes and looked around, the area seemed dimly lit and it appeared the others had moved him to a tent and bandaged his head. He moved to his knees and crawled out of the tent to see the others camp closely about it. Sihara explained what happened after the blackbelt fell and explained they'd be leaving once the others awoke.
On their feet again the team of adventurers took to the tower once again ascending to the next floor. A vast library appeared before them, once this happened almost on cue 3 large red golems cave from around one of the shelves. Nijaku was the first one to attack this time around sending another barrage of fists towards the first golem, this proved to much for the golem which simply crumbled backwards. The blackbelt quickly retreated and watched as the group finished off the rest of them. Much of this process repeated for another few floors until they arrived in a large dinning hall area, suddenly Gargoyles started to prove a problem and once Arella, their whitemage caught fire from one of their attacks, the group was forced to make camp and nurse her back to health.
"We'll have to wait here a few days before moving on upwards again." Sinray explained before Nijaku returned to his newly setup tent for well need rest.

A stiff jab awoke the blackbelt and has he opened his eyes and his blurry vision came slowly trotting back into focus he seen Arella standing over him. He nodded and brought himself to his feet and stepped out of the tent.
After a short while he had repacked up the tent and replaced it around his shoulder. The group reformed and they continued their trek upwards through the tower. After about another day of marching and only a few hours of rest they reached a clam floor. Sinray then briefed the group about what they were about to face off against and laid out a strategy. They rested for another day and then slowly ascended another stairwell into the peak of the mighty Cathedral. The room was devoid of windows and had a dank smell.
"Such a dark place" Whispered the whitemage as they looked about the room.
Nijaku wonder away from the group towards the far end of the room, as he nosed about his foot depressed a switch within the floor and the room suddenly began the fill with mist.
"What'd you do!?" Screamed Sinray as they all hurried over to the blackbelts location.
Before the blackbelt could answer he noticed a figure appear near the stairs. Nijaku quickly pointed towards the figure and as he did 4 guards appeared on each side of the party. A booming voice rumbled throughout the room.
"Val..."Muttered the blackmage, his assumption was correct but it was too late for it to benefit them as Val already charged the party while his guards surrounded them.
The batle began, and immediately Nijaku charged blindly at the Vampire lord, his fist landed solid and sent the undead beast back a step or two before he realized, it'd take a bit more than that to stop one of such power. Val raised his cloaked and backhanded the blackbelt away from him with a bony hand. Stumbling backwards behind the others a barrage of attacks was unleashed from the group of vampires. This proceeded with a series of countering and attacking be the two groups that lasted well over an hour. Nijaku, despite the other continued throughout this skirmish, to throw himself towards the leader until he finally fell and disappeared within the darkness.
The rest of the group dispatched the remaining 4 and looked about waiting for some sort of sign that they won.
"Strange....we should. Well have had some sort of acknowledge of victory.” He said confused.
Suddenly the room reflooded with fog and this time when is cleared there before them stood 8 vals.
Nijaku, now obviously confused thrashed about attacking the nearest val, it promptly disappeared when struck enough times but the only problem was, there was 7 more vals before them. The battle continued on and they kept killing off clones only to have them return after a period of time. The battle raged on and on Sinray had fallen twice only to be recovered by Arella, the blackmage dropped a few guards and was constantly on the defensive due to the magical barrage of drains the multiple Vallatios rained down upon them.
After a short while, Nijaku noticed a trend in one of the vals that kept repeating, he quickly unleashed a pummeling attack and suddenly the room hazed in and out and the Vals all rearranged and remixed themselves.
The process continued and ended with Sinray tackling and killing off the real Val, this became apparent only after the clones started to suddenly disappear.
Each party member rejoiced and let out a cry. Once they had fully rested, they began to work their way back down the tower and then into the fields below to return to Dainian. This march took 2 months as they crossed the deadly forests of tigers and then a desert of massive beasts.
Once the group arrived and briefed the king, and after a short story of what went on, the shocked king then ordered them to continue their investigations in the grounds within Death Mountains.
"Seems, like northward bound is our next destination." said Nijaku quietly as they all left the castle and went towards the the entrance of the DM.

Impatient as could be Nijaku decided to make the trip with a few a fighter and a Ranger know as Brave and Jindo. The trio made their way up towards the entrance to the mountain. The guards promptly stopped them and check each one making sure they had the authorization to pass.
Entering at the base of the mountain, the trio looked about the dimly lit surrond inner workings. They wait a mount as Brave readied a torch, the marched onward rounding paths and struggling with various groups of imps and wolves. "This place doesn't seem that much of a danger" Muttered Jindo as he reverted back into a humanoid form.
They emerged from the darkness of the cave area to be present with a blinding light and a soft mist. As their vision came back they were presented with 3 large Sabretooth tigers and a small group of wolves. "Not so safe anymore" spat Brave as the first Tiger attacked.
The battle ranged on for quite some time until Sinray made his late appearance, with the knight now assiting them the battle shifted to a slaughter and in a few moments nothing remained to threaten them. "Well it seems as though you impatience got the best of you" Sinray said smirking. "Bah, your assist did nothing but hinder us"Retorted the backbelt.
It took the group another 4 days to scale and explore the ins and outs of the mountain before hitting a thick mist again. The group of 7 made their way downward into the foggy area, as they worked their way across a bridge and downward again they spotted a cave. They quickly ran towards it and as they did 3 massive green worms sprouted up from the granite of the mountain.
"Well, I say we leave this up to you" Nijaku said glaring at Sinray.
The knight gave him a look and then released his sword from his back, and nervously waved it as he stood before the worms.

The small blackmage cleared his throat and looked up from his book to view those scattered in the pews, some had other tasks and things to attend to, others had come hearing of the blackmage's tales of a blackbelt's journey through Darlow, it appeared a whitemage of the Brotherhood decided to show up, garbed in white robes that had an outward gradient of blue, his pale white eyes were all that could be seen through the cloak he garnered, his light blue gloves clasped over one another on his lap.
"Its a pleasure to see you made it Constantine"Not said as he slightly nodded to him.
Looking over to the other side he scanned the pews for new faces, spotting a few. This new one was a blackmage rarely seen and long since been to the monastery, he donned the robes of the brotherhood. These robes however donned not a tear or the slightest color fade, black with an inward gradient of Grey matching his Grey gloves his soft orange eyes looked upon the room and he slowly made his way to a seat in the front and sat down.
"A rare appearance if I say so myself, Kija" Not said still trying to locate the most recent log.
"I had to check in on the area and witness Soren's new robes" He replied after awhile.
Soren had in fact donned the new blue and black attire, his eyes now gave off a green glow and his little Grey gloves set the outfit. He now took a seat next to a old blackbelt who also donned the robes of the brotherhood.
"Takahashi, I see you decided to return to us?" Not questioned as he peered out towards him.
"Oh but of course, can never forget the insane blackbelt that lead me in circles for days fighting gigasaurs"He said as he removed his red punching gloves to only reveal his red taped hands. He was one of the more unorthodox members of the brotherhood as he donned brown robes, a pair of red gloves and the pale white glow of his eyes.
"Ah, here we are,"Not exclaimed as he found the page and began telling the story once more.
"The Knight wielded the sword shoulder high and pivoted his feet...
The worm pounced as soon as Sinray hit his stance, it collided violently against him throwing him to the ground, he slowly pulled himself up as the second worm came in on him, he leveled his shield in an attempt to feather off the blow, he found himself looking back up at the ceiling again shortly afterward. Sheering pain shot through him again as the third worm slammed itself against him and slithered away. He struggled to get up and in his rage he raised his sword high above his head and brought it down unleashing a slash upon the second worm, it squealed in rage and quickly struck back knocking him back, the other two were close behind it but being more prepared he raised his shield and steadfastly knocked aside the two blows and gave a quick forward jump and a thrust to the wounded worm. It squealed again and unleashed another attack, the other two moved in once again and the previous process repeated, the worm however shuddered and collapsed its last breathes drown in his own blood filling its lungs.
The two remaining worms began to circle the knight hissing and snarling at him,The first lunged and he parried off the laughable blow then suffered one less subtle to the back throwing him down again. In his frustration he gathered himself to his feet and let out two furious strikes across the body of the first worm. The worm in a rage came down upon him and sent him to his knee, the other came along and knocked him about leaving him kneeling before them and they recoiled and prepared for another round of attacks, this however spurred the other to join in and mop the rest up.
The group rested for the rest of the set and then set off early the next morning, they emerged from the cave to a bright sunlit morning and found themselves descending again. It took a long 3 hours to descend before they hit a thick fog and several battles with some Trillianpedes and mountain worms. They were quickly dispatched during every appearance but the group grew weary of fighting around in the fog.
"We're clearly lost, only a blackbelt could do such a grevious thing in a place know for death" complained Sinray as he clunked about behind the whitemage.
Nijkau ignored him as they walked through the fog, his foot landed slid slightly on grave and then shifted quickly to the right, he wailed about frantically and found a rope in which to attempt to steady himself, he rocked about for a bit before gathering himself. Sinray and the rest of the group rush up behind him and they all gasped.
"What?"Nijaku asked not releasing yet where he was, once he looked down to see through the slightly dissipated fog he grumbled.
"I see" he grumbled as he clung to a rope fashioned handrail, apart of an old rickitdy bridge that lead across a mighty chasm.
"Well, nicely done, you nearly destroyed the whole thing."Laugh Sinray
Nijaku grumbled a few curses and turned and quickly made his way across the bridge as the others followed him. It however took them another 3 hours to find the well hidden cave entrance back inside the mountains. They made there way around the mountains dropping down a few slurpers and iron and mountain guards until they discovered a southern facing entrance way. The group slowly move through it looking around a completely untraveled area of the Death mountain.
"Well, if anyone did come through here, there is very little evidence of that now."Nijaku said to himself aloud.
He said this also while the ground let out a loud groan and a small cylinder mound of dirt came rushing towards him, it stopped right where he stood and in a red blur smashed into his chest sending him across the room. He slid to a halt and slowly pulled himself up along the wall trying to recover his vision to see what exactly knock him about from underground. The attacker however saved little time for reasoning and counter attacks, the large beast came across the ground in a few swift stride and its gaping maw opened wide in an attempt to swallow him, He braced himself and grabbed each side of the beasts jaw, fighting its mighty jaws back. Long strands of saliva dribbled down his arms and splash across his chest and face as the beast let out a roar, Nijaku let out a return bellow and shoved the beast backwards, he then started forming a ball of energy from within his hands, a small aura formed around him and then charged into a much brighter and larger light blue glow, it lit the room and the red beast that stood before them all, it had to be at least 3 times the size of the previous mountain worms, its mouth garnished a mighty jaw of teeth dripping with salvation. It grunted a few times and charged the blackbelt again, then was consumed in a mighty blast that the blackbelt promptly launched at it. The beast let out a Shirl as the blast ripped portions of its skin from its body and sent it backwards over its tail and rolled across the mountain cave floor and up against the wall.
Heaving the blackbelt lowered his arms and stared at the charred body of the red beast,"What the hell is that thing?"he question the others as smoke emitted from his palms.
"Some in town spoke of a mighty breed of worms know as crevice beasts, I can only assume this is it" Jindo replied.
"crevice beast? Not much of a challenge for such a massive and rare race of creatures" Nijaku grumbled as he straighted himself out letting out his last few heavy breathes.
The ground rumbled again as two more of the mighty red worms shot up from the ground, Sinray and Brave both garnished their blades in preparation for the upcoming battle, but before anything could acutally attack a stir occurred behind the new pair of red worms, the third one, laying in its bloody, charred pile stirred and rose, it let out a mighty roar and slithered forward, two more mountain worms surfaced behind them. As the worms made their appearance 3 blobs of slim fell from the ceiling and let out a noise of disgust as they shifted into their form.
"Slurpers!"shouted Arella
3 mountain guards and Iron guards shortly there after made their appearance, Jindo let out a bark, he had fully transformed into his wolf call by this time and ran up next to Nijaku who pivoted his feet ready to fend off the worms.
"This should be fun" Complained Sinray as he shifted himself.
"If fun involved sheering pain" retorted Arella.
The initial worm Nijaku had cripple with an aura blast lurched foward and came charging towards the group...
