. Mini bosses, at the end of side-quests. Perhaps, missions given by various NPCs. Brotherhood members perhaps, as well as townsfolk in each nation. Some mini bosses could just give boosted exp than the hunting ground they are in- some could give rarer weapons or items maybe? I dont know how much is being planned as far as more weapons and armor is concerned, but it doesnt have to be 'uber stuff'...just a wider variety of items. Maybe, trophy weapons or armor, that boost certain stats while within the hunting grounds of which said mini boss was inside of. anyway. One idea that i think everyone would enjoy is, the miniboss that would accompany magora in the Pits of Pain area..would reset stats as a result of winning. -OR-, if you beat the mini boss first, you recieve a certain item that if worn during the magora fight, upon winning vs magora you get a one-time-use-only item that resets stats. (to be used again where you want them all). Not sure how the stat re-set thing would go. Probably have to be like, If this class is supposed to get x amount of this stat per level, then figure out current level and multiply...to reset the stat. Then, to figure out the level up points just multiply the current level by 2 and give those to the player. Anyway. WHo else has ideas of rewards minibosses could have?

Uhm, the math would be (current level - 1)2 As at level one, you don't have any levelup points.. For the levelup points, taterz. Not what you gain by level, or the blessing, but the points you put in yourself. The blessing doesn't give you extra. :\

More reward Ideas.
Special spells or abilities. Knight's Puree is amazing, probably the most effective melee move. That would be a good canidate for mini boss win.
A non-elemental magic spell. Like aurabolt is, its just pure magic damage. Weaker than LS, but with the same area of effect range. For RDM only. I'd rather see rdm have this instead of LS. Since LS makes RDM seem more holy than it really is. If you count it up spell for spell, rdms are more whm-esque than blackmage. So they need a non-elemental magic damage type spell. Best way i see it is to make it a reward from a miniboss too. Or something. Anyway.
Dragoons. : SKewer. Works like defonce. @-25% dmg. Fissure- Insta kill by creating a massive crack in the earth below the enemy.
More mini-boss prizes soon! Come on folks this isnt for my own personal ideas -_-

Wait, did you just suggest that Puree get taken away from Knights, only to return it as a "gift"? ...somehow I don't think that'll go over well with the Knights in the game that already have it. That would be a temporary nerf to them while other classes would get the real boost.
The non-elemental damage for RedMages sounds neat, though. I'd expect them to be more experimental with their spells instead of rigid old practices of white/black mages. In a way, the area damage of a spell is determined by the element, so something completely non-elemental probably wouldn't have an area attack at all. It'd probably make for a good backup Instill though.
