I thought it would be cool if we had something that told us our last boss beaten, since I made characters awhile ago and was unaware of the boss cap I was slightly confused, but yeah I figured this would be a helpful thing to have. Also when you buy a weapon or armor you should be able to see if it will hurt your stats or make them better..I know of the FFHG website with all the info, but when partying people wont wanna wait for you to look it up. Thats all I got for now but the more I play the more ideas I get so be ready.

Well, you can usually figure out the last boss beaten by looking at which area you're in. I mean, if you're in Hassen, obviously, you're not gonna be needing a Val, Kaug, or Gry party...
As for items... Well, they kinda actually DO tell you what kind of stats the items have. It's called the Menu function you find in shops.

Gamer, people will be more willing to play if the game is more user friendly, I like Keiros ideas. It would make it alot easier, see it this way you have a level 29 BM in SS, and you don't play him for 3 months, now are you going to remember if he beat Gry? Don't think so. Items thing would help alot, because im not going to go look them up over and over, I rather play the game, and if i saw like a arrow pointing up to a axe over a sword then i buy axe. So don't put others peoples ideas down, before you actually think of what other people want, and not just you!

Well if your a player who hasnt played in awhile and were partying up with lower chars then come back to a boss cap and are in a low area your gonna be slightly confused. and as far as items go they give a price, if they tell how much added attack/def they add when you buy them you wont waste your money buying something else. Dont shoot my idea with lame insults, if you think its not a good idea you should explain why rather than just be ignorant. This isnt directed at anyone its said to prevent this from happening, I respect you opinions and the fact that you have them, just need details is all.

The menu function does give stats, not just the price. When speaking to the shopkeeper, there is buy, sell, and menu. The menu gives all the information on the weapons available.
If you are curious what weapon is better, usually the more expensive, the better the weapon is. But it is not just about how much power the weapon has; it is also about the variance, the weight, and the amount of hits. A little arrow is not going to be able to explain all of that. But the menu function allows people to look at the weapons and decide for themselves what they want to use for their current character progression.
It could be possible to use plus and minus values to indicate what is rising and falling more accurately for each stat, and that may happen, even allowing the normal stats to be seen within the buy selection, but currently, it is still possible to look at the stats and find what is best. Although it may be interesting to see and help make it simplier for some.
With another feature that is already planned to being added, the ability to know how far along you are in the game will be more possible.

Like Kija noted, it's not a simple matter of "more damage = better than" when it comes to weapons. You might have a damage rating of 280-300 compared to my 180-240, but if you're only doing two hits while I'm doing six hits, it's possible for me to consistently outdamage you.
Nonetheless, if you think damage is important, use the Menu function and pick the weapon with the biggest damage rating. If you think hits are important, use the Menu function and pick the weapon with the most hits. If you think both are important, use the Menu function and... I think you see where this is going.
Point is, we can't put in an 'arrow' system, because there is no set measure of comparison that would be valid throughout the game. Players gain more hits as they level, and shops in later towns have weapons with more hits, so raw damage is really only a deciding factor in Dainan and maybe Lirea.

Gamer, people will be more willing to play if the game is more user friendly, How odd. User-friendliness isn't something I've seen people complaining about of late. And come to think of it, I think this is the first time I've ever seen someone complain about it in this game. Good for you. It would make it alot easier, see it this way you have a level 29 BM in SS, and you don't play him for 3 months, now are you going to remember if he beat Gry? Don't think so. Go talk to the King of Anara. That's one good way to figure it out. I mean, hey, to get to Hassen, you'll have to go by there anyway, so... Items thing would help alot, because im not going to go look them up over and over, I rather play the game, and if i saw like a arrow pointing up to a axe over a sword then i buy axe. I think Kija and Taka have pretty well explained this, so you'll forgive me if I don't add my two cents. It's pretty much the same thing as what they said anyway. So don't put others peoples ideas down, before you actually think of what other people want, and not just you! Now when did I ever even mention myself in my previous post? Well if your a player who hasnt played in awhile and were partying up with lower chars then come back to a boss cap and are in a low area your gonna be slightly confused. Well then, I guess that means it would be a good idea not to spend a lot of time in low-level areas once you've beaten those bosses. Or just not leave for that long, whichever. Besides... No, actually, I'm not even gonna make the next statement. I thought for 2 seconds and decided I didn't feel like fighting with you over this. and as far as items go they give a price, if they tell how much added attack/def they add when you buy them you wont waste your money buying something else. Or, you could check your Battle Stats tab and compare the numbers with those on the Menu in the shop. The Battle Stats tab shows you your weapon's power, variance, weight, and if your character's max hits exceeds that of your weapon's, you can tell how many hits your weapon supports. You can also see the amount of defense your armor provides, and by unequipping it, you can figure out its weight too. Dont shoot my idea with lame insults, When did I insult you? You point to the statement where I insulted you, I will give you the key to my car. if you think its not a good idea you should explain why rather than just be ignorant. I did explain why. I was just being brief because at the time, I didn't feel like writing an entire essay on the subject. This isnt directed at anyone its said to prevent this from happening, I respect you opinions and the fact that you have them, just need details is all. Never expressed an opinion. Briefly and bluntly stated 2 facts, nothing more.

You don't even have to enequip to figure out the weight, its the bottom number on your Battle Stat tab. Speaking of Weapons and their differences ... the Spears only go up 6 in Damage rating from Lirea to Hassan Something seriously needs to be done, yea they go up 1 hit as you progress to each city, but one hits accumulates to about 16 more damage. I know this has been brought up before, but spears blow in this game and need an overhaul.

as you said, it's been mentioned and talked over etc =) and, also, before this turns into a flame war, i'll lock this thread, Kija and Taka both made points good enough for everyone to stop talking about this matter in this thread, take it to PMs if you still wanna fight =o
