That'd mean everyone will also have to type out southern skure, ice caverns, pits of pain, graveyard, etc.. Naw, we're fine how we are. Btw, they are only allowed to use english. If you haven't noticed, we prohibit foreign languages like french, dutch, german, etc. At least, on wsay. So, my vote goes to yes, and we keep it how it is now.

I like the idea, but then everyone except for Kija would break it if it becomes a rule. XD

So, my vote goes to yes, and we keep it how it is now. Did you even look at the voting question? Voting yes and saying to keep it how it is are opposites of each other. Last I heard, the only reason "wtf" was restricted was because of "fuck", not that it was an acronym. It's one thing to keep out vulgarities but why stop non-offensive words as well? That sounds like too much.

Poll Question: Should the players be forced to use english Well now, what do you think all these shorthands are in, dutch? They are English shorthands, which means they are speaking english to a technical point. So by voting yes, you're voting that they speak in english which has, yes, always been a rule, and enforced. Regardless of whether it is short hand or not, it is english. By voting no, you're supposing we allow them to use french, and dutch, and german, and whatever other languages other people can speak that play. This was NOT a very well thought out question, so I gave it a very well thought out answer to even it out.

As much as i'm sure Kija would love this rule. I think it would discrimination to younger players, dyslexics (yeah, I know...), or people with just bad english comprehension. This is the internet, and people should be able to type how they want, or to what their limitations can take them to.
So... nope. It's a no-go as far as my opinion goes. This is just stupid...

English over Wsay and no leet talk. I don't care if you speak German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, leet, wingdings, etc etc IN say but over Wsay, everybody will use the "Universal language".

Also, Putting such a thing into effect would prohibit the ORLY spurts that our game is so well-known for. We cannot defile such a national trasure.

Hey! Wingdings is awesome. Don't be hatin'. As awesome as wingdings is, 68% of the people who play FF:THG would probably forget what they said in wingdings in a few seconds. Is "ect" shorthand too?

If by shorthand you mean acronyms (etc, LOL, FBI) then yes that would have to be blocked too. If you have to make a rule for something you can't allow exceptions. That's why Wtf is blocked. It's still an acronym for "What The Fuck". Take apart LOL to "Laugh Out Loud". I don't see anything offensive in that, so therefore there's no good reason to block it.
I feel like an armchair lawyer.
